Two Healthy Screen Habits

According to the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the average child watches an average of 5–6 hours of television a day! WOW!

When a young, developing mind and body watches that much TV, research has shown that it directly correlates to an increased prevalence of overweight and obesity, lower reading scores and attention problems. As a result, it is recommended that children under the age of 2 not watch any television at all. In addition, the AAP recommends that there is no TV or computer in the room in which the child sleeps, and that the child experiences less than 2 hours of screen time a day.
